Retail Electrical Supply
AEP Energy - AEP Energy was created in 2002 as a competitive retail electric supply affiliate of American Electric Power (AEP). We are committed to excellence by serving Ohio businesses with our leadership, innovation and many years of Industry experience.
Desert Sky Wind Farm - The Desert Sky Wind Farm is a 160.5-megawatt wind power generation facility located near the far West Texas town of Iraan, in Pecos County. The site includes 107 turbines, each rated at 1.5 megawatts spread over a 15-square-mile area on Indian Mesa.
Trent Mesa Wind Farm - Trent Mesa Wind Farm is a 150-megawatt wind power plant located between Abilene and Sweetwater in West Texas. The project uses 100 turbines each rated at 1.5 megawatts.
Claytor Hydroelectric Project - The Claytor Hydroelectric Project, owned and operated by Appalachian Power Company, is licensed by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) as Project No. 739.The Claytor Project consists of a concrete gravity dam with gated spillway, integral intake and powerhouse, switching equipment, appurtenant facilities and the reservoir.
Kanawha Hydro Projects - Appalachian Power is seeking to relicense the London/Marmet and Winfield hydroelectric projects, in consultation with representatives from various State and Federal agencies as well as local governments, non-governmental organizations and the public.
Smith Mountain Project - Smith Mountain is a pumped storage project that utilizes an upper reservoir (Smith Mountain Lake) and a lower reservoir (Leesville Lake.)

via paper with AEP can increase the reliability of those transactions while decreasing
business costs through Electronic Data Interchange, or EDI.

Inc. - USTI performs plant emissions flow monitoring, employing
an automated process that eliminates or significantly reduces over-reporting of
emissions, thereby saving time and money.
Joint Transmission Projects
Electric Transmission Texas - Electric Transmission Texas, LLC (ETT) is a joint venture between AEP and MidAmerican Energy Holdings Company, which will build transmission projects within the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT).
Pioneer Transmission - Pioneer Transmission, LLC is a joint venture formed by Duke Energy and American Electric Power (AEP) to build and operate 240 miles of extra-high-voltage 765-kilovolt (kV) transmission lines and related facilities in Indiana.
RITE Line Transmission - Reliability Interregional Transmission Extension or RITE Line is a joint venture formed by Exelon Corporation and Electric Transmission America (ETA) - a joint venture of subsidiaries of American Electric Power and MidAmerican Energy holdings - to build and operate approximately 420 miles of high-voltage transmission lines and related facilities in Indiana and Illinois.
Transource Energy - Transource, a partnership between AEP and Great Plains Energy, is dedicated to investing in and building new electric transmission infrastructure in a competitive marketplace. The focus of Transource is the development of cost-effective transmission solutions, initially within the PJM Interconnection, Southwest Power Pool (SPP) and the Midwest Independent System Operator (MISO) regions.
