The New Design of AEP.com

On Wednesday, November 14, AEP launched a new design for its corporate web site, AEP.com.

AEP.com has been completely rebuilt using responsive design, a relatively new technique that allows our web pages to sense the size of the device you're using to view each page, and adapt itself to display properly on that device. This allows us to do a better job of serving the increasing number of users who come to our site with a tablet or phone.

AEP becomes the second Fortune 500 company to update its corporate web site to a responsive design. Google was the first.

We’ve decided to present the same information to all of our users, regardless of the device you use, because statistics from the Pew Research Center's Internet & American Life Project show that a large and growing number of Americans are using mobile devices as their primary way to access web sites like ours.

The new site design has been extensively tested with customers and other users to ensure it is simple and easy to navigate.

We believe we have created an attractive place for you to learn about AEP, and a site where important information about the company can be easily accessed. We hope you agree.
