Pirkey Fly Ash Used in Roofing

Fly ash from AEP’s Pirkey Power Plant, located near Marshall, Texas, is being used as a filler in roofing products. ISG Resources, Inc., the plant’s CCP marketer, is using the plant’s fly ash for their patented product – ALSIL®.

ALSIL® is a technologically advanced industrial filler, used not only roofing products, but ceramic products and carpet/mat backing as well.

The Pirkey Plant’s fly ash as an ingredient of ALSIL®, provides for:
