Course description |
Instructors and speakers from industry, government agencies, and other institutions
share their expertise to enable participants to integrate the topics of energy,
economics and the environment into classroom activities, which helps teachers creatively
incorporate Indiana academic standards into their curriculum. Course instructor
is Dr. Grant Black, assistant professor of economics and director of the Center
for Economic Education at Indiana University South Bend. |

When |
Classroom sessions will be 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. One overnight field trip will visit
three electrical generating plants with field trip expenses paid by AEP. |

Participants will prepare and submit a substantive curriculum plan for implementing
economic, energy and environmental topics and activities in their classrooms. |

$40 nonrefundable registration fee payable to IUSB. Tuition free to Indiana residents;
out-of-state participants will be reimbursed at the in-state rate courtesy of AEP.
A $40 application fee if currently not enrolled at IUSB is also required, payable
