Course description |
Teachers will gain knowledge of wetlands through classroom activities, field activities
in the Wetlands of Winfield and investigation of computer resources. Participants
also will learn how AEP produces electricity at the John Amos coal-fired power plant
and the Winfield Hydroelectric Plant and address the future of power generation
in an environmentally responsible way. |

Credits |
Options include three hours of professional development credit from Marshall University
upon successful completion of the course at a cost to be determined prior to the
workshop. |

Classroom and tour sessions approximately 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily. |
