The WOW Factor Wetlands of Winfield Workshop
Dates June 23 - 27, 2008

Course description Teachers will gain knowledge of wetlands through classroom activities, field activities in the Wetlands of Winfield and investigation of computer resources. Participants also will learn how AEP produces electricity at the John Amos coal-fired power plant and the Winfield Hydroelectric Plant and address the future of power generation in an environmentally responsible way.
Who Teachers grades K-12 (more suited to grades 4-12)
Credits Options include three hours of professional development credit from Marshall University upon successful completion of the course at a cost to be determined prior to the workshop.
When Classroom and tour sessions approximately 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily.

Cost $25 registration fee payable to AEP and refundable upon course completion.
