Course description |
Teachers will spend two days visiting Ohio energy sites demonstrating various energy sources, electricity generation, alternative energy and energy conservation. Participants will receive a free kit of curriculum, equipment and materials to incorporate energy education into their classroom. |

Ohio science teachers grades 5 - 12 |

Credits |
10 contact hours for CEU credits. |

When |
Sessions approximately 7 - 9 p.m. July 27 and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 28. |

Where |
Ohio University research facilities including hydrogen and green fuels lab, and a coal surface mine in southeastern Ohio. |

Workshop project |
Participants document how they will use the knowledge gained from the tour to teach others about energy. |

Cost |
$50 deposit payable to "Ohio Energy Project" upon acceptance. The full deposit will be refunded at the completion of the Energy Sources Blitz. |

Lodging |
Food, lodging, charter bus transportation and materials during the tour are available to eligible participants. |

The registration application for the Energy Sources Blitz will be posted on the Ohio Energy Project website -- www.ohioenergy.org. Applications will be accepted until the Blitz is full.
