Electrical safety education

AEP offers a variety of electrical safety resources to help educate students and adults learn about electrical safety.

Students of all ages will enjoy a visit to The Electric Universe website. There visitors can view education information on science and electrical safety presented in increasing detail for age groups ranging from early elementary years through adults. Subjects include: safety rules; learning activities; electrical facts about animals, the weather and the environment, the human body and astronomy; experiments; electrical generation and transmission; biographies of inventors and scientists; energy conservation; and career information. The Teachers' Lounge includes lesson plans, classroom experiments and a reference section.

Each of AEP's operating companies provides a diverse offering of electrical safety education tips, resources, videos and DVDs. Explore electrical safety through our on-line E-Learning option, access and print electrical safety brochures, or view on-line videos appropriate for students, adults, emergency respondors or contractors.
