AEP offers a variety of electrical safety resources to help educate students and adults learn about electrical safety.
Students of all ages will enjoy a visit to The Electric Universe website. There visitors can view education information on science and electrical safety presented in increasing detail for age groups ranging from early elementary years through adults. Subjects include: safety rules; learning activities; educational games; energy conservation; electrical facts about animals, the weather and the environment, the human body and astronomy; experiments; electrical generation and transmission; biographies of inventors and scientists; and career information.
School educators are encouraged to visit Just for Teachers at the Electric Universe, where they can register for access to information and resources including the popular Louie the Lightning Bug® Teacher Kits. There are two kits, one for grades K -2 and one for grades 3 - 4. Each kit contains reproducible pages for teacher information, student lessons, tests and activity sheets.
