Indiana Michigan Power Contributions

Dear Friends,

The employees of Indiana Michigan Power work hard, both at our jobs and in our communities. When we aren’t wearing hardhats or helping customers, you might find us helping build a house for Habitat for Humanity. You may find us painting the home of a senior citizen as part of the United Way Day of Caring or helping a food bank. You might find us helping out at local festivals, and you might even see Louie the Lightning Bug at your local parade.

I&M’s giving philosophy emphasizes education, the arts, hunger/housing and quality of life, all focused on improving the communities we serve. We recognize that communities must be vibrant and thriving to attract and retain talented individuals.

In 2012 alone, Indiana Michigan Power contributed:

  • $240,110 in Michigan
  • $347,212 in Muncie
  • $761,012 in Fort Wayne
  • $336,620 in South Bend

In addition, the American Electric Power Foundation contributed $800,000 throughout our service area.

This report highlights our contributions to a number of charities and causes. We are proud to support our communities.
