Arts and culture shape the essence of a community. Supporting capital campaigns and programs for the arts can revitalize neighborhoods with museums and concert halls where artists, musicians and dancers create, rehearse and perform, and where residents can enjoy all the benefits of a community’s cultural offerings.
Kentucky Power provided $10,000 in general support for the Paramount Arts Center in Ashland, Kentucky, while The Taubman Museum of Art in Roanoke, Virginia, received $20,000 in contributions from Appalachian Power Company for ongoing support.
Energy: Sparking Solutions is a new exhibit at the Tulsa Children’s Museum sponsored by Public Service Company of Oklahoma. The exhibit’s hands on, science-based activities engage visitors in problem solving and provide a better understanding of the future of energy.
The AEP Foundation sponsors free community events like the Jazz and Rib Fest and the Columbus Arts Festival in Ohio to bring a wide array of artistic and cultural experiences to the broader community.
