Southwestern Electric Power Company Contributions

Dear SWEPCO customers,

Providing power is our priority, and we work every day to make sure communities in Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas receive the safest, most reliable and affordable energy service. One way we show our appreciation for customers is through community service and partnerships.

Hundreds of SWEPCO employees generously share their knowledge, time and effort to support many different organizations, and in 2017, SWEPCO investors and shareholders supported hundreds of organizations, agencies and causes. Whether it was sparking the curiosity of high school students through robotics programming, supporting programs for those impacted by Alzheimer’s, or providing the opportunity for thousands of students to enroll in swim lessons, SWEPCO was proud to contribute financial support to organizations that are doing incredible work.

This report includes a list of some of the agencies that received contributions from SWEPCO and our parent company, American Electric Power.

The Booneville High School Robotics Team was one of our beneficiaries in 2017. They received a grant to participate in the FIRST Robotics program whose mission is to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders and innovators by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering, and technology skills, inspire innovation and foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication and leadership.

Agencies and non-profits in our community do so much to help our citizens. At SWEPCO, supporting the neighborhoods and communities where we live and work are a top priority. We may be a power company, but our true power in our communities comes from our people.
