Southwestern Electric Power Company Contributions
Dear SWEPCO Communities:
For more than 100 years, SWEPCO has provided affordable and reliable electric service to communities in Arkansas, Louisiana or Texas. One way we show our appreciation for customers is through community service and partnerships.
In 2016, SWEPCO investors and shareholders supported hundreds of organizations, agencies and causes. Whether it was helping food banks feed the hungry, providing scholarships for local students, or bringing the performing arts to families, SWEPCO was proud to contribute financial support to organizations that are doing incredible work.
This report includes a list of some of the agencies that received contributions from SWEPCO and the American Electric Power Foundation.
The Natchitoches Parish Council on Aging was one of our beneficiaries last year. The agency provides Meals on Wheels, medical alerts systems, legal assistances and transportation to parish residents over 60 years old. In addition, it offers activities ranging from bingo games and coffee meetings to computer classes and field trips.
Agencies and non-profits like the Natchitoches Parish Council on Aging do so much to help our citizens. At SWEPCO, supporting the neighborhoods and communities where we live and work are a top priority. We may be a power company, but our true power in our communities comes from our people.
