We have a long history of working with governments, conservation organizations, and other utilities to reclaim lands we've impacted through mining as well as offseting greenhouse gas emissions and restoring wildlife habitats. Many of these reclaimed areas are made available to the public for recreation and enjoyment.
Hiking, biking, fishing, hunting, horseback riding, camping -- all available to enjoy on 60,000-acres of reclaimed mining land in southeastern Ohio.
In addition to ReCreation Land, we have many other recreational areas you can visit. Some also require a permit. Check the description for each location.
In 1994, we donated 10,000 acres of reclaimed surface-mined land today used to advance wildlife conservation and biodiversity. Visit African, Asian, and North American species.
