On March 1, 2010 APCo and WPCo filed testimony and exhibits with the West Virginia PSC supporting an increase in ENEC rates to become effective July 1, 2010. The Companies are recommending an $85.9 million annual increase, or 7.4% based on forecasted ENEC costs for the 12 months ending June 30, 2011. After including the additional revenues requirement for the Construction Surcharge in the amount of $10.3 million, the Companies are requesting an overall net increase of approximately $96.2 million, or 8.23%.

In addition, the Commission’s September 30, 2009 order in the 2009 ENEC case, ordered that as part of the 2010 ENEC application, the Companies were to file a detailed report on their EE/DSM programs. The current filing also includes testimony in support of five energy efficiency (EE) and demand reduction (DR) programs that the Companies are proposing be implemented in their West Virginia service area.
