AEP Raises 2015 Operating Earnings Guidance, Reaffirms 2016 Operating Earnings Guidance Range
American Electric Power increased its operating earnings guidance (earnings excluding special items) for 2015 and reaffirmed its 2016 operating earnings guidance range. The company also forecast capital expenditure budgets for 2015 through 2017. AEP management will discuss the company's financial outlook and earnings growth strategy at the annual Edison Electric Institute Financial Conference that begins today in Dallas.

AEP Increases Quarterly Dividend To 53 Cents A Share
The Board of Directors of American Electric Power Co. today declared a regular quarterly cash dividend of 53 cents a share on the company's common stock, increasing the dividend 6 percent from the previous 50 cents a share. AEP last increased its dividend in October 2013.

ETT Files Application To Build Transmission Line From Barney Davis Substation To Naval Base Substation
Electric Transmission Texas, LLC (ETT) has filed an application with the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT) to construct a proposed single-circuit 138-kV transmission line in Nueces County from ETT's Barney Davis substation to AEP Texas Central Company's (TCC) Naval Base substation. ETT is a joint venture between subsidiaries of American Electric Power (NYSE: AEP) and Berkshire Hathaway Energy.

AEP Subsidiary Appalachian Power to Redeem Senior Notes
Appalachian Power Company, a public utility subsidiary of American Electric Power, today announced that on May 22, 2014, it will redeem the entire outstanding $200 million principal amount of its 4.95 percent Senior Notes, Series I, due 2015. The notes will be redeemed at 100 percent of the principal amount outstanding (at par value of $100 per Senior Note), plus interest through the date of redemption, plus the required make-whole premium.

AEP Reports Strong 2013 Fourth-Quarter and Year-End Earnings;
Completes Ohio Corporate Separation
AEP today reported fourth-quarter 2013 earnings, prepared in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), of $346 million or $0.71 per share, compared with $21 million or $0.05 per share in 2012. Operating earnings (excluding special items) for fourth-quarter 2013 were $296 million or $0.60 per share, compared with fourth-quarter 2012 operating earnings of $242 million or $0.50 per share. The difference in fourth-quarter 2013 GAAP and operating earnings was primarily due to the reversal of a third-quarter Texas regulatory disallowance.

AEP to Bid On Canadian Transmission Project
AEP transmission subsidiary AEP Transmission Holding Co. is partnering with AltaLink LP to participate in the Alberta Electric System Operator's (AESO) competitive process to build and operate the Fort McMurray West 500-kilovolt (kV) Transmission Project in the province of Alberta, Canada. Owned equally by AEP Transmission Holding Co. and AltaLink LP, the joint venture will operate as Athabasca Transmission. The project will be developed under AEP Transmission Holding Co. subsidiary Transource Energy LLC pending approval from the AESO.
