American Electric Power and the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of
Wildlife recently made available an additional 7,340 acres for public use. This
acreage was originally opened for the purpose of reducing the deer population, which
was creating a severe browse impact on young tree plantings. Since then, AEP has
decided to keep this area opened year round for public use until further notice.
All aspects of public recreation will be utilized in this area.
