Internationally-Recognized Sustainable Tree Farms

Our environmental stewardship has been recognized by the American Tree Farm System (ATFS). Our internationally-recognized ATFS certification meets strict third-party verification and auditing standards for sustainability. We manage them for multiple purposes: water, wildlife, wood and recreation. See the certification for our Muskingum Mine Site Tree Farm.

Additionally, we manage tree farms in Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky and Texas, covering more than 100,000 acres. In 2000, we were recognized as the Ohio tree farm of the year, and we have been involved in forest management since 1944. To date, there have been more than 63 million trees planted on our lands.
