Stuart Solomon is president and chief operating officer for Public Service Company of Oklahoma, serving approximately 530,000 customers in Oklahoma. He has held that position since June 2004.
Previously, he was vice president - Public Policy and Regulatory Services for PSO's parent company, American Electric Power. In this position, he was responsible for the development, coordination and advocacy of corporate policies and positions. In addition, he was responsible for the oversight of regulatory affairs for AEP's seven eastern states. Solomon also served as AEP's state president in West Virginia in 1999-2000.
Solomon joined AEP in 1999 from Central and South West Corp., which merged with AEP in 2000.
Solomon, a native of Plainview, Texas, joined CSW in 1986 at its Central Power and Light subsidiary in Corpus Christi, Texas. After earning a law degree, he rejoined CSW in 1992 and held several management and administrative positions.
He earned a bachelor's degree from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, a master's in business administration from the University of Texas in Austin and a law degree from the University of Colorado in Boulder.
Solomon and his wife, Dana, have two sons, Scott and Michael.
