The Communications Coordinator supports internal and external communications for the Operating Company, contributing to clear, consistent, and timely messaging across the organization. This entry level role provides day to day execution support for executive communications, business updates, employee communications, and enterprise initiatives, while assisting with content creation, social media, media relations support, and basic project management.Job Description
What you’ll do:
Essential Job Functions & Tasks
Draft, proofread, and edit internal and external communications, including emails, newsletters, executive updates, web content, social media posts, and internal memos.
Support the preparation of executive and leadership communications, including coordination of weekly updates and materials for senior‑level reporting and briefings.
Collect, organize, and track inputs from cross‑functional partners to support executive communications, business updates, and leadership initiatives.
Assist in planning and executing communication campaigns, initiatives, and events aligned with business priorities.
Maintain and update internal communication channels, websites, and social media platforms in accordance with established content calendars.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure the timely development and delivery of communication materials.
Monitor media coverage and employee communications feedback; compile basic reports and summaries as requested.
Track and report performance metrics for communication initiatives and maintain content libraries, contact lists, and archival documentation.
Serve as a member of the Public Information Officer (PIO) team during outage and restoration events, which may require occasional evening and weekend availability.

Education requirements are listed below:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Work requirement listed below:
Internship experience or one or more years of experience in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field.
Additional preferred experience/qualifications:
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and proofreading ability.
Ability to organize information, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Familiarity with social media platforms and basic content management systems (CMS).
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders at different levels of the organization.
Experience using basic graphic or design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Spark, or Adobe Creative Suite).
Familiarity with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social media insights) and performance reporting.
Exposure to media relations, media monitoring tools, press release distribution, executive communications, or internal communications support.
