Join our team where you’ll make an impact while contributing to the coordination of the construction of Telecom sites related to civil, tower, electrical and demo activities.
Job Description
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Oversee the preparation of construction packages for site coordinators and contractors to include drawings, scope of work, permits, bidders response form, JHSA and summary sheets for the project.
Participate in field site visits as needed before, during and after project completion.
Demonstrate a solid understanding of construction guidelines and OSHA standards.
Manage project work flow in adherence with AEP Construction team standards, established practices and applicable state and local codes or regulations.
Ensure Environmental concerns are addressed and compliant with current standards and processes.
Evaluate RFP and bid responses with various stakeholders to review and select contractors to support the timely completion of projects.
Collaborate with internal and external stockholders to resolve issues, as needed.
Review, prioritize and facilitate construction schedules and coordinate outages with the Project Delivery and Field Operations teams.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
Education: Bachelor Degree + 2 years relevant experience OR Associates degree or 5 year apprenticeship as journeyman electrician with 4 years relevant experience OR High School Diploma / GED with 6 years relevant experience License/Certifications: Valid Driver License Required. Additional skills, education and experience required for grade 7.
Other helpful skills:
Project support, tracking, analysis or coordination experience.
Experience with enterprise software applications or equivalent including: Asset Suite (Work Management, Contract management, Procurement), Business Objects, EcoSys, Primavera P6, Powerplant, Docusign, PeopleSoft financials, ServiceNow.
Proficient use of desktop and web applications: Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook, Access, ShareNow, Sharepoint, Google Earth, Adobe, OneNote, Visio preferred.
Experience with reviewing civil and electrical construction design packages, drawings, and bid documents preferred.
OSHA 30 certification is preferred 6. Travel required up to 25% Physical Demands: List physical demands required for this job but not limited to: 1. Physical site visits may be required with varying degrees of topography and weather conditions.

Grade 7 $85,081 - $106,352.80
