Job Summary
Install and maintain self-contained electric meters energized up to 240 volts in the shop and on customer premises.Job Description
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Read meters as required for field order and on schedule for cycle billingInstall, remove, change disconnect, and reconnect meters.
- Test singlephase, network, and polyphase self-contained meter for proper operation and accuracyProgram meters
- Perform Credit and Collections related order including disconnect and reconnect for non-payment
- Investigate irregular usageInvestigate energy diversion
- Repair meters, meter sockets, and meter enclosures
- Order, receive, ship, store, and inventory meter and associated equipment
- Investigate self-contained service power quality problems, install event recorders, neutral testers, and produce reports
- Perform work from ladders and elevated platforms
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education requirements are listed below:Associates Degree in electrical/electronic technology
Required License(s)/Certification(s) are listed below:State Driver's License
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Within 24 months of employment, successfully complete the Company's training and qualification program for this position including: classroom instruction; written examination; job mentoring; and job performance demonstrations. Work overtime as needed including extended daily shifts and weekends. Work late shifts as needed. Work independently under semi-direct supervision in a safe-efficient, and productive manner Proficiently use computers and applications related to this position. Effectively communicate with other employees, customer, and the general public in a courteous and appropriate manner.

$29.39-31.03 USDThe Physical Demand Level for this job is: M – Medium Work: Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
