AEP seeks a Regulatory Case Manager. This role is responsible, with the operating company, for overall development and management of filings to state and federal regulatory agencies, including those filings which may impact meeting corporate earnings objectives. Responsible for significant input into corporate regulatory strategy development and coordination. Educates others on interrelationships between cost drivers and revenue.

Job Description

What You'll Do:

  • Lead a comprehensive initiative to prepare, file, and manage significant submissions with state regulatory commissions in collaboration with operating companies. Take primary responsibility for the development of major filings with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission as well.

  • Support the overall filing process by ensuring the accuracy and completeness of required schedules, identifying witnesses, and developing testimonies. Contribute to decision-making on key strategic issues that influence the company's regulatory initiatives.

  • Build teams and networks across the company to gather essential information for developing regulatory strategies.

  • Stay informed about trends and policies within regulatory commissions that impact the company's operations, including regulatory decisions, rules, and information requirements.

  • Formulate strategic alternatives and analyses, providing recommendations for addressing regulatory challenges.

  • Assist operating companies in maintaining strong business relationships with state commissions by supplying data, analyses, and recommendations as needed.

  • Provide functional supervision over designated team members for specific project assignments, as authorized.

What You're Looking For:

Education:

  • Bachelor' degree

Work Experience:

Regulatory Case Manager

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience with emphasis on one or more of the following - utility accounting and applications, rates, tariff development and application, commercial operations, management, and/or other pertinent experience. Electric utility experience is preferred.

Other Requirement:

  • Ability to travel, including overnight, to support regulatory case activity and ongoing training.

Compensation Grade:

Compensation Range:

$112,869.00-146,730.50 USD
