Job Summary
Responsible to Nuclear Generation for assuring that all procedures used by Operations, meet the requirements of I&M, AEPSC, and Regulatory Agencies policies and procedures.Please note: This position is posted in a range, and an offer will be made based on the candidate's qualifications.
Job Description
- Write and develop new procedures and changes to existing procedures as assigned.
- Review plant documents for procedure impact.
- Coordinate with other departments and organizations during procedure development and revision process.
- Maintain associated procedure databases and records.
- Participate in benchmarking and self-assessment plans.
- Investigate and provide responses to condition reports assigned to the procedure section.
- Perform other procedure-related duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For:
PROCEDURE WRITER:
Education:
- Associate's Degree in Business, or Engineering/Nuclear Technology.
Work Experience:
- Or experience as follows; 6 years in a nuclear facility to include 4 years technical experience and 2 years as a procedure/technical writer.
PROCEDURE WRITER, SR:
Education:
- Associate's Degree in Business, or Engineering/Nuclear Technology.
Work Experience:
- Or experience as follows: 8 years in a nuclear facility to include 6 years technical experience and 2 years as a procedure/technical writer.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS (APPLIES TO ALL LEVELS):
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong process improvement/analytical skills.
- Effective writing and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership ability.
Must establish and maintain a permanent residence within a 45-minute safe drive to the D.C. Cook Nuclear Plant.
