Job Summary

The Client Liaison will support the C&I Sales teams post sale by being the primary point of contact for our customers and indirect partners. The Liaison will be responsible for managing customer/partner expectations, providing status updates, and ensuring all customer/partner needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.  

Job Description

AEP is seeking talented and motivated Client Liaison to become an integral part of our Customer Operations team.

What You’ll Do:

  • Primary Point of Contact: Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers and partners, managing all post-sale communication and expectations.
  • Relationship Building: Build strong relationships with customers/partners through consistent, professional, and responsive communication.

  • Resource for Information: Serve as a resource for customers/partners on company products, services, policies, and procedures.

  • Issue Escalation: Escalate client concerns and issues to appropriate internal departments in a timely manner. Collaborate with internal departments to facilitate client need fulfillment (liaise between the customer and internal teams).

  • Opportunity Identification: Proactively identify opportunities to improve the customer/partner experience and make recommendations to sales leadership.

What We’re Looking For:

Education Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required plus four years of experience OR Bachelor’s Degree in sales, communications, or related field preferred plus two years of experience.

Experience Requirements: Experience in customer service or client relations. Sales experience preferred. Additional education or experience may be preferred.  Familiarity with CRM software.

  • Adaptability and strong problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent listening skills.

  • Ability to build rapport and collaborate with others within the company and externally.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and with a team to meet deadlines.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with aptitude to learn new software and systems.

Compensation Range:

$52,488.00-65,610.50 USD

The Physical Demand Level for this job is: S – Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (Occasionally: activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently. (Frequently: activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
