Eligibility

If you're enrolled as a full-time student in a college/university program and have an excellent academic record (3.0 GPA or above), you're eligible for the AEP co-op and internship program. Some departments may also require you to be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident; others will consider students who are eligible for temporary employment in the U.S.

If you’re an engineering student, your school program must be accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). In addition, you must have an excellent academic record.

If you're interested in our internship program, you must have completed your junior year in college. While here, you'll work on only one assignment, typically during the summer. If you're interested in our co-op program, you must be at least in your sophomore year and/or have completed two classes in your major. As a co-op student, you can expect to complete at least two, non-consecutive work assignments while you're at AEP.
