Jim Henry, 41, vice president - eastern fuel procurement, is responsible for fuel procurement for AEP’s eastern region. He began working for AEP in 1985 in the engineering co-op program at Central Ohio Coal Co. and most recently was director - fuel procurement.
Marguerite Mills, 48, vice president - western fuel procurement, is responsible for fuel procurement for AEP’s western region. She joined Central & South West Corp. (CSW) operating company Southwestern Electric Power Co. in 1978 as an internal auditor. CSW merged with AEP in 2000. Mills’ latest position was director - regulated oil and gas.
Mike Beyer, 46, vice president - strategic initiatives, is responsible for materials-handling coordination, property management, reclamation and activities related to AEP Coal, and special projects related to fuel, emissions, consumables, by-products, materials handling and transportation. He joined AEP in 2002 as vice president - coal business development and his most recent post was president - AEP Coal.
Mike DeBord, 52, vice president - transportation and combustion services, is responsible for transportation agreements; coal scheduling and logistics; railcar fleet optimization; operation of Cook Coal Terminal and the Metropolis, Ill., and Alliance, Neb., railcar maintenance shops; system coal quality assurance and quality control; acquisition of fuel oil, urea, lime, limestone and other combustion-related bulk materials; and marketing and use of coal combustion products. He joined AEP in 1975 as a mine employee at Southern Appalachian Coal Co. and most recently was director - combustion services.
John H. Massey II, 33, vice president - coal and emissions trading, is responsible for managing coal and emissions trading activities in the over-the-counter market. He joined AEP in 2002 as director - coal, his previous position.
