When it comes to community service, Erikka Storch doesn’t just show up; she leads the way. As External Affairs Manager at APCo, Erikka has been selected as the 2025 Charles Patton Volunteer of the Year for her extraordinary dedication to giving back and her ability to inspire others to do the same.
Erikka’s outstanding commitment to service is a shining example of how AEP employees go above and beyond to support the communities where we live and work. Her passion, leadership and heart for giving back embody the spirit of this award and inspire us all to make a difference.
Whether she’s organizing bell-ringing efforts for the Salvation Army, collecting food for the Blessing Box at Washington Lands, or serving on the boards of organizations such as Wheeling Health Right, the YWCA and the Ohio Valley Medical Center Auxiliary, Erikka’s impact is felt throughout the Ohio Valley. She leads with heart and purpose. Her volunteerism spans health care, youth development, women’s advocacy and economic growth, each effort driven by her deep commitment to community well-being.
Erikka’s passion, initiative and heart for service exemplify the spirit of the Charles Patton Volunteer of the Year Award. Her work reminds us that giving back isn’t just something we do, it’s who we are.
When asked what this award means to her, Erikka shared, “Giving back isn’t just something I do—it’s something I believe in. When we show up for our communities, we build stronger connections, inspire others and make a lasting impact. I’m proud to be part of a company that encourages service and supports the places we call home.”
