BRIDGMAN, Mich., April 18, 2000 – Workers completed refueling the reactor at American Electric Power’s (NYSE:AEP) Cook Nuclear Plant Unit 2 on April 14. The last of the 193 fuel assemblies was placed in the reactor core at 5:27 a.m. The refueling process began on April 10. “With the reactor refueled, we will now continue to complete the required start-up testing and return the unit to service as safely and efficiently as possible,” said Bob Powers, AEP senior vice president - nuclear generation.
