Tomasky, executive vice president - policy, finance and strategic planning and chief financial officer, and Holly Koeppel, executive vice president - energy services, are among the “50 key women in energy” worldwide for 2002 selected by energy consultancy Rader Energy in association with London-based Commodities Now magazine and corporate sponsors Entergy-Koch, LP and Jacobs Consultancy.
A recognition ceremony for honorees took place in Essen, Germany, at the E-World of Energy international trade fair.
Koeppel and Tomasky were recognized in the “leadership” category. Of 47 companies represented overall, only three - including AEP - had more than one employee honored. Also, Tomasky was one of only two industry representatives named to the “50 key women in energy” list for the second consecutive year. She earned top honors in the “visionary” category last year.
American Electric Power owns and operates more than 42,000 megawatts of generating capacity in the United States and select international markets and is the largest electricity generator in the U.S. AEP is also one of the largest electric utilities in the United States, with almost 5 million customers linked to AEP’s 11-state electricity transmission and distribution grid. The company is based in Columbus, Ohio.
