COLUMBUS, Ohio, Feb. 24, 2006 – A live webcast has been scheduled of a panel presentation featuring Craig Baker, senior vice president – regulatory services for American Electric Power (NYSE: AEP), Feb. 27 at the Merrill Lynch “New Areas of Utilities Investment” Transmission & Power Equipment Conference in New York.

The presentation, titled “Transmission Opportunities,” is scheduled for 3 p.m. EST. It can be accessed through the Internet at http://www.aep.com/go/webcast and also will be available after the live event.
