What you’ll do:
Essential Job Functions:
Plan, organize, coordinate, direct and control plant activities including plant maintenance, and engineering and construction of the plant facilities to maximize the safe, efficient and economical generation of electrical power.
Support the System Safety Process. Develop, maintain and enforce safe working conditions by providing proper and adequate tools, equipment, protective clothing and devices. Establish and enforce safe work behaviors. Participate in the setting of safety goals for an accident-free work environment. Communicate to employees the importance of a safe work environment on a daily basis. Investigate, report and track incidents/accidents including root cause analysis and corrective action taken. Report findings to management and then communicate findings to employees.
Manage the maintenance planning in relation to plant outages including developing workflow charts and critical paths, analyzing material needs and overseeing the writing of requisitions for materials and equipment.
Manage QA/QC and metallurgical activities including coordinating all plant welding inspections, reading radiographs, review of completed travelers and providing support to the regions in each of these areas.
Formulate and recommend policies, practices, procedures and programs designed to achieve long and short-range plant and corporate objectives within the areas described above and implement and administer as approved.
Participate at the management level in developing long and short-range plans for maintenance, capital improvements, availability and staffing. Participate in the development of plant O&M and capital forecast and tracking and controlling expenditures to meet approved budgets.
Supervise the team in the operation of plant activities to ensure compliance with all appropriate local, state and federal environmental control regulations, Occupational Safety and Health Act and other applicable laws and regulations.
What we’re looking for:
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's + 8 yrs power plant experience;
or Associate's + 10 yrs power plant experience;
or high school diploma/GED + 12 yrs power plant experience;
*Power plant experience to include five years in a supervisory role.
