Plant System Owner Sr (SP20-07)

What you’ll do:

Essential Job Functions & Tasks

  • Troubleshoot, analyze and correct problems with assigned plant system.
  • Implement and assist with process improvement projects and/or related programs.
  • Coordinate activities of employees in maintenance, energy production, lab, coal handling, or outside contractors as required.
  • Consult with or actively seek advice from Region Plant Engineering

What we’re looking for:

Education:

  • Engineering Bachelor’s degree from ABET accredited school with equivalent experience; or other Bachelor’s degree with equivalent experience; or Associate’s degree with equivalent experience; or high school diploma or GED with equivalent experience. See below for experience requirement.

Experience:

  • With an ABET accredited Engineering Bachelor’s degree, five (5) years of relevant plant experience; or with any other Bachelor’s degree, six (6) years of relevant plant experience; or, with an Associate’s degree, eight (8) years of relevant plant experience; or, with a high school diploma or GED, ten (10) years of relevant plant experience.

Physical demand level is light.

Plant System Owner Prin. (SP20-08)

The System Owner Prin is intended for engineering candidates or others as a developmental position for plant leadership roles. The highest level for all other candidates is Plant System Owner Sr (SG 7).

Physical Demands
The Physical Demand Level for this job is: L – Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10 to 12 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 5-6 pounds of force constantly to move objects.  Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for sedentary work. Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job should be rated Light Work: (1) When it requires walking or standing to a significant degree; or (2) when it requires sitting most of the time, but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg c ontrols; and/or (3) when the job requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible.  NOTE: The constant stress and strain of maintaining a production rate pace, especially in an industrial setting, can be and is physically demanding of a worker even though the amount of force exerted is negligible.
