AEP schedules live webcast of quarterly earnings call

COLUMBUS, Ohio, July 22, 2005 – American Electric Power’s quarterly earnings conference call with financial analysts will be broadcast live over the Internet at 9 a.m. EDT Friday, July 29, at http://www.aep.com/go/webcasts .

The call will be archived on http://www.aep.com/go/webcasts for use by those unable to listen during the live webcast.

Minimum requirements to listen to the broadcast: The Windows Media Player, free from http://windowsmedia.com/download , and a 56Kbps or faster Internet connection.
